ESOL – English for Speakers of Other Languages
       Pre-Entry to Level 2

If English is not your first language then ESOL is the course for you. The course is available from absolute beginners of the English language up to Level 2.
ESOL will help you to meet the language needs to learn and live in the UK. The qualification is based on improving skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening as well as grammar and vocabulary practice.

Course duration:    

1 year per level

Entry requirements: 

No formal entry requirements. You will have to take a short assessment to verify your level of English.

Attendance:

12.5 hours per week (weekend classes available)

Employability Skills – Level 2 Certificate.

This course will help you to prepare for looking for employment. It gives you the understanding of the skills required to find and maintain a job. These are key skills that employers seek when recruiting new employees. Skills include:
team work, problem solving, communication skills,presentation skills, CV & interview preparation and Health and Safety issues in the workplace.

Course duration: 

Short course (4 weeks max).

Entry requirements:    

Min Literacy/ Numeracy Level 1.

Progression:           

Entrance into employment or further education.
