Information Technology - IT

I.T courses are available from Beginner's Level to Level 2.
                          
The beginner’s level is suitable if you do not have the knowledge or experience of using computers. It introduces you to word processing, using the internet, spread sheets and databases.
     
Level 1 and 2 are available as an Award, Certificate or Diploma.
     
Both these levels are suitable if you have the basic knowledge or good working knowledge of using computers and want to enhance your skills.

The course structure includes word- processing, spreadsheets, databases, e- mail, presentation, desktop publishing amongst other units.
     
Course duration:

90 – 200 Guided learning hours depending upon which level is studied.

Entry requirements: 

No formal qualifications for beginner’s level or level 1. For Level 2 – successful completion of Level 1I.T.
     
Progression: 

After completing Level 1 I.T you can progress onto Level 2. After completion of Level 2 you can progress to Level 3/ NVQ I.T. course.
